1) Marcus Rashford was awarded MBE ( Member of the Order of the British Empire) for his work to provide schoolchildren free meals. In June he raised around 20 million pounds with FareShare, charity fighting hunger and tackling food waste.
"#endchildfoodpoverty is not about children going hungry during the school holidays, this is about children going hungry full stop. Let’s not loose sight of the bigger picture here. There are at least 1.5million children we are not reaching with the free school meal scheme..." Rashford's tweet on 19th October.
2) In IPL 2020, Niine and Rajasthan Royals came together with a campaign "EveryRunCounts". For every run scored by Rajashthan Royals in IPL, Niine will provide menstrual hygiene to 9 girls.
This campaign not only encouraged players to score more run but also to make a difference in society.
3) On World mental health day Banglore FC launched 'Care Around The Corner' programme to raise awareness on mental health and provide the players and staff on-call professional help.
CEO Mandar Tamhane said "Mental health in sport is such an important conversation, but it's also one that we don't have as much as should in Indian sports. We felt a definite need to add this aspect to the team for this season, and every season going forward".
