Rising Star - Takefusa Kubo




Takefusa Kubo is called the Japanese Messi. The 19-year-old joined Real Madrid in July 2019 for 2million Euros. Kubo is an FC Barcelona youth academy product "La Masia" player who left Barcelona and joined the Japanese side FC Tokyo.
After joining Madrid Kubo was loaned to RCD Mallorca where he provided 5 assists and scored 4 goals.
Unfortunately, Mallorca got relegated and as per many reposts Madrid has decided to loan Kubo for another year to Villarreal.


Kubo is left-footed and usually plays at a right-wing same as Messi. Kubo has outstanding dribbling and spatial awareness, which makes him an extraordinary player.
Kubo has a great ability to win one-versus-one and he prefers ball close to his left foot similar to Messi.
The 'Japanese Messi' thing probably has to do with his style of play.

During Copa America in Brazil Kubo played on both wings for his national team Japan.
He was a very Important player Mallorca in the 2019/20 season and can be very helpful for Madrid in the future.
