In 2012, Ferland Mendy left PSG to join the 4th tier FC MENTOIS. A year later he gets noticed and signed a contract with LA HAVRE at 18 years old.
In 2017 Mendy completed a move to Ligue 1 side Lyon. Mendy made his France debut in 2018 and he never played for them at any youth level.
Ferland Mendy made 57 appearances for Lyon in League 1. He made 6 assists and scored 2 goals for Lyon.
